I felt the ground shake all night
envelope my eyes

when you are present
chaotic origami
cradled by the Earth

just a breath away
homeomorphic tree tops
tributaries — gone

I found a carcass
so they could all see this bird
play means letting go

a spiral beauty
to remind me of your laugh,
to get your feet wet

my luck dragon came
in fall you came, but no more
the ones that I see
